Welcome to the official website of author Pat Frank! Pat Frank was born in Mississippi County, Arkansas in 1947 to sharecroppers Mattie and Troy Crotts. She lived there until she was three years old when her parents bought a small farm in Harmony Grove, Arkansas. They eked out a living until Pat was 12 years old, then sold the farm and moved to the San Joaquin Valley of California, living in Selma and Orange Cove where Pat and her family worked in the fields and packing houses. Pat moved to Hanford, California in 1973 and started her own business with husband Larry Frank. Pat still lives and writes in Hanford. She has written and published 3 novels and has several more on the way.
